Workshops

Since coming into office, the new Executive Committee has aimed to use every opportunity to understand the needs and wants of the community. In order to facilitate this further, a series of workshops are to be scheduled so that both the community and committee have a forum in which they can express their thoughts and concerns to each other.

The workshops are intended for all members of the community and will include special features from various notable groups within it, such as the voice of the youth, viewpoints from Think Tank members, and key members of the Executive Committee.

We hope to be able to bring various topics out into the open, such as:

• How do we go about buying a suitable property for the community’s various functions?
• What are the financial issues surrounding the running of the community?
• How do we ensure all sections within the community have a voice?
• Do we provide a wide and varied enough range of events?

The workshops will take place in the latter half of 2003. Please look out for invitations in the post. Please remember this is your chance to have your say.
